1.0 Scoring and Rules We use the same scoring method and rules as Tipster League, you can click here for details
2.0 Match Days Tuesday are the standard match days with replays on Thursdays. Quarter Final, Semi Final and Finals are on Saturdays. Admin may occasionally changes these dates but will give notice in such event.
3.0 Who Can Take Part All Registered Tipster League Players who are in the current League Season are automatically entered. If you do not wish to take part simply dont enter selections and you will then be deleted from the current League Cup competition.
4.0 Which Round of the Competition do I start off in? This depends on what league division you are in. Premier Division players always join the competition at Round 3, the lowest rank players join the competition in Round 1, and then the players below Premier Division join at Round 2, you can find details here.
5.0 How are players drawn against each other in matches? A random computerised draw takes place for Rounds 1,2,3. After which no further draws are undertaken and remaining players are paired in matches according to remaining position in draw.
6.0 What happens if I draw my match with my opponent? If you both enter selections and end up scoring the same number of goals your match is drawn and a replay will be scheduled (usually for the Thursday) of the same week.
6.1 What happens if I draw my Replay match with my opponent? If you both enter selections and end up scoring the same number of goals in your replay match then the tie will be decided using the following order of priority:
7. What happens if one or more players do not enter selections? 7.1 If a player does not enter selections, they simply score 0 goals in that match. 7.2 In the event that both players fail to enter selections in the same match then both players are disqualified.
8. What happens if Only one player enters selections but scores 0 goals with the 6 horses selected? In this instance, the player who bothered to make selections will get a bye into the next Round and Qualify as the winner of the tie.
9. Can a player qualify as a high scoring losing player? Yes, this is possible usually only in the first few rounds of the competition. It is only possible when specific matches include where both players failed to enter (see 7.2 above). In this case because both players were disqualified this free's up an additional qualifying place in the draw for a high scoring loser. 9.1 The High Scoring Loser places available are attributed using the following order of priority: 1. Total Goals Scored in scheduled match (replays do not count for HSL qualification) 2. League Division of players concerned 3. Overall League Position of players on match day.
10. What happens when the League expands with more divisions does the format of League Cup Change? The format generally remains the same, the only difference is that as the number of league players increase, the number of matches in Round 1 and Round 2 will slightly change season to season to accommodate the new increase in total players. Premier League players however always join at Round 3.
11. Do you offer any Prize Money to the Winner? We do not currently offer any prize money for the League Cup Competition, this may change in future if we have a sponsor.
